There are a zillion great, old films for free on youtube. I wanted to bring them together on one blog for lovers of older films or people who want to learn about film history and see some of the best films ever. When I was younger there was a theater called the Parkway (in Chicago) that showed such films. It was torn down (so it goes). Ludwig II - 2012 - Directors: Marie Noelle, Peter Sehr
A compassionate look at the life of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, who lived for art and attempted to rule Bavaria according to pacifist principles in the Age of Bismark's Blood and Iron. He was a strong patron of Wagner and an all-around tragic figure.
